The US Indian gaming industry generated a record gross gaming revenue of $46.2bn during the 2025 financial year. The National Indian Gaming Commission published the annual report on July 22, 2026, confirming a 5.3% rise that exceeded the prior yearly benchmark by $2.3bn.
The commission monitored 545 gaming facilities operated by nearly 250 tribal governments across 29 states. Financial growth was widespread, with seven of the eight tracked regions posting higher totals than in FY2024.
Regulatory Oversight and Tribal Impact
NIGC vice chair William (Billy) Kirkland noted that the financial results reinforce the sector's role in sustaining tribal self-sufficiency. He emphasized that the agency continues to partner with tribal leaders to maintain a regulatory framework designed to protect long-term community benefits. Associate commissioner Sharon Avery added that the revenue figures reflect a consistent focus on measured expansion and local economic development.
